I'm not sure what to think. We all know about all the conspiracy theories that surround many of modern day events, as well as theories on old events. Most conspiracy theories end up saying that the government were to blame. In many cases I think it is safe to say that they were to fault, but the fact that people in the compound we doing things that were illegal and immoral makes me think things are a bit different with this one. True the FBI were 'nut cases' for being so violent with so many children in the compound, but the Davidians did have guns and were prepared to do what they did.
Its all a bit confusing to be honest. I hate that the FBI went in with all guns blazing when they could have just arrested him when he was walking around Waco, but the didn't and they could have just knocked the doors down instead of using the force they did, but they didn't. This I think is the problem.
It is clear to see where the FBI and the ATF went wrong because it was put in the media so much but the Davidians were so private that not a lot of people knew what went on in the compound and those that did were reluctant to talk about it. Maybe the media had more to do with it then many think, but I think that is a question to ask Mario as he was around when it happened and I was only 6 at the time and was more bothered about the number 1 song in the charts and what toy I wanted for X-mas *lol*.
Waco was truly a tragedy and I think it could have ended differently but human nature is what turned a possible easy arrest into a large amount of death, injury and upset.
